Business Travel Market is to be held alongside leisure trade show World Travel Market from next year.
BTM, which has previously been held in June, will continue to be a two-day event and will be held at London?s Excel exhibition centre on Wednesday, November 6, and Thursday, November 7, 2013 ? the final two days of WTM which runs for four days.
Both BTM and WTM are run by Reed Travel Exhibitions, which purchased BTM in 2011.
Reed Travel Exhibitions? managing director Richard Mortimore said: ?Following RTE?s acquisition of BTM last year, it was always planned to put it alongside our flagship travel event WTM.?
Mortimore added that demographic data showed that more than 17,000 visitors to WTM were from companies who had ?an involvement in business travel?.
BTM, which started in 2008, will continue to run a hosted programme to the show for European travel buyers, as it has done in previous years.
Exhibition director Paul Robin said: ?We are excited by the business opportunities the co-location with WTM gives our clients, but the good news doesn?t end there.
?We are continuing to invest and build on the success of BTM?s high quality hosted buyer programme; the first in the corporate travel sector.?
Robin added that BTM would also be holding a series of industry dinner throughout the year as well as a new conference in London in June.
